Ingredients

  • Ingredients:~3/4 cups flour3/4 cups cocoa powder1/2 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp salt3/4 cup butter
  • sugar1 cup
  • eggs3 large
  • vanilla essence1/2 cup buttermilk1 tsp

Instructions

    ~Sieve all the dry ingredients in a bowl.In a mixing bowl, cream the butter & sugar till fluffy.Add eggs one at a time, beating well in between each egg.Add the vanilla essence.Add the dry ingredients alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.Pour into the cupcake liners.Bake in a preheated 180ºC oven for 15 minutes.When cool, ice with frosting & decorate as desired.FrostingIngredients:~1/2 cup butter1/4 cup cocoa powder2 cups icing sugar2 tbsp milkMethod:~Sieve the icing sugar & cocoa powder together.Add the icing sugar gradually, alternating with milk until it has a smooth consistency.Spread on top of the cooled cupcakes.
